Youth is something that is highly sought after but not everyone is able to attain. One of the secrets to staying youthful that is within your control is maintaining healthy skin. There are certain habits that could lead to your skin ageing faster than you’d like. Knowing simple everyday things you could do to keep your skin in good shape could increase your chances of retaining your glow and staying wrinkle free as you age.
We have been in the industry for over a decade and to help you on your way to achieving optimum beauty they’re offering five ways to defy skin ageing.
Skin peels – using skin peels regularly will help refresh your skin and you’re your pores clean – when bacteria and dirt get clogged in your pores, they tend to become enlarged. To help you age in reverse, keep your pores unclogged by getting rid of dead skin, dirt and oil with skin peels. Cleansers with salicylic acid helps dissolve the oil in your pores.
Use sunscreen – it is a known fact that too much exposure to the sun isn’t good for your skin. UV rays can damage your skin as well as cause you to age much faster. With that being said, get a sunscreen with a coverage of at least SPF 30.
Stress less – stress can speed up the ageing process, so you want to keep it to a minimum. It can also make your body produce more cortisol which leads to oilier skin and possibly more frequent breakouts.
Use antioxidants – to protect your skin from pollution and the sun, try using antioxidants with vitamins C, E, A and B. Great examples to consider include coffeeberry, pomegranate, leafy veg, and green tea. Include them in your diet on a daily basis if you want the best results.
Start using retinoids – as you age, your skin begins losing collagen which is the protein that keeps it looking plush and smooth. If you’re in your thirties and above especially, look for an over the counter cream and use it a few times weekly.
