At NYLC, we offer a range of different face and body contouring treatments, from HIFU to Pellefirm, but fat freezing is definitely one of our most popular choices. It’s easy to see why a lot of our clients choose fat freezing; we’re proud to offer some of the most advanced fat freezing technology in the world at all 3 of our London based clinics.

Naturally, before our clients come in for their first session, they often want to learn a little more about the technology itself, and whether fat freezing is safe for everyone. In this post, we’ll be covering exactly that! Get to know what our fat freezing system can do for you and learn how safe the technology really is..

What is fat freezing?

The New York Laser Clinic works with the CLATUU fat freezing system. It is a state-of-the-art technology designed to dissolve unwanted, stubborn fat cells in your body and leave you with smoother skin and a refreshed confidence in a matter of weeks.

Using a combination of electro and cryotherapy, the medical grade machine targets and kills the fat cells underneath the surface of the skin by freezing them for several minutes. The full process will take approximately 90 minutes, depending on the area you are having treated, and we usually recommend that clients have a number of additional treatments (90 days following the previous) for optimum results. We offer courses of 3, 6 and 8 treatments as well as single treatments.

For some clients, CLATUU has been able to remove up to 2 entire inches of fat in just 1 session!

Is fat freezing safe?

Like with all our treatments, we make sure everything is as safe as possible for our clients. We use state-of-the-art technology for all of our body contouring and laser treatments, meaning you will not find better results elsewhere. Our treatments are always administered by highly trained professionals, and we have years of research behind all of the body contouring solutions we offer here at NYLC.

As this is a non-invasive treatment, this means there is no need for any anaesthetics, injections or incisions – you will be able to go about your day right after the treatment has finished! Tests have proven that the machine does not damage any of the surrounding cells in the body during the freezing process – only the fat cells.

To prepare for your treatment and to make sure you see the best results, we do recommend that you avoid consuming large meals before you come in for your treatment, as well as avoiding alcohol and caffeine. Following the treatment all you will need to do is wait for your results, which will usually start to become noticeable within 4 weeks. You may notice some slight bruising to begin with, but this will subside and is nothing to worry about.
